I began this Throwback Thursday meme as a way to share some of my old favorites as well as sharing books that I want to read that were published over a year ago. You know, the ones waiting patiently on my TBR list while I continue to pile more titles on top of them:)! I like that these older books are usually much easier than new releases to get a hold of at libraries and elsewhere. If you have your own Throwback Thursday recommendation feel free to jump on board, you’re welcome to use my pic as well. If you’d just link back to me I’d so appreciate it
This week I scoured my TBR to find this Pick which I added in May 2012! How I haven’t gotten to it, I have no idea because it still sounds so good. If you’ve read it or think you’d like to , I’d love to hear your thoughts. See what you think….
Published January 2010 by Minotaur Books
Marked by tragedy, traumatized at the age of eight, Michael, now eighteen, is no ordinary young man. Besides not uttering a single word in ten years, he discovers the one thing he can somehow do better than anyone else. Whether it’s a locked door without a key, a padlock with no combination, or even an eight-hundred pound safe … he can open them all. It’s an unforgivable talent. A talent that will make young Michael a hot commodity with the wrong people and, whether he likes it or not, push him ever close to a life of crime. Until he finally sees his chance to escape, and with one desperate gamble risks everything to come back home to the only person he ever loved, and to unlock the secret that has kept him silent for so long.
Steve Hamilton steps away from his Edgar Award-winning Alex McKnight series to introduce a unique new character, unlike anyone you’ve ever seen in the world of crime fiction.
Happy Reading!!

I was considering joining in (may still do that) and found books on my goodreads TBR that have been there since 2011! I don’t think I’ll ever read them but I can’t let go of them either.

I know what you mean, I really should do spring cleaning on my TBR and if it’s been on there longer than 2 or 3 years remove it but I feel like I’ll forget about them and what if I DO want to read them!:) It’s a vicious tbr circle😃

I guess Throwback Thursday is about the same as Goodreads Monday ;-). The most difficult part is picking out a book from the looong list :-). You made a good choice though, The Lock Artist definitely sounds interesting, the setting really speaks to me! Ocean’s Eleven comes to mind again 🙂

Today’s TBT is a little different in that it’s a book that’s probably been on my TBR the longest:) I usually post my old favorites so i thought I’d change it up today. I do still want to read this and I hadn’t thought about Ocean’s 11 but I like that comparison:)
